Our House

One of the nicest things about Oak Lane is its location – a cozy house at the end of a quiet street surrounded by tall trees, grass and flowers. The physical surroundings naturally increase the sense of comfort and security the children and parents enjoy.

On any given morning, you are likely to smell fresh muffins baking in the kitchen and see the children happily greeting their teachers and friends. Our families treasure Oak Lane’s warm and open feeling. The children feel it is their home away from home.

The Toddler Class

Our youngest group (18 months – 3 years) enjoy a spacious room that lends itself beautifully to an infinite range of small and large group activities. The room is set up to allow each child to learn and explore: housekeeping, painting, blocks, trucks, felt board, library and much more.

The Acorns have their own very large outside play area with sandboxes, climbing equipment and many riding toys. All that young explorers could need!

The Preschool Classes

The three-, four-, and five-year-olds each have large classrooms filled with age-appropriate toys, books, craft supplies, fish tanks and more. The teachers read, sing, play, and do craft projects while teaching the children in a stimulating and creative environment.

A large playground is shared by all three groups and has everything these growing children could desire - - basketball, riding equipment, sand box, climbing equipment and a big open shady space for running and exploring and letting their imaginations soar.

Safety

Oak Lane is compliant with all State and Federal safety regulations for outdoor play. Helmets are worn for riding; rubber safety surfaces are in place to protect against the eventual tumble.
